Astrid Legal vs Querious

Competitor details last checked October 6, 2026

Querious is a legal-specific tool, and its main feature is guidance during the conversation: legal issue prompts and suggested questions on a live call. Astrid works after the call: it captures phone calls and meetings, drafts the file note in your firm's format, holds it for attorney approval, files it to the case management system and drafts a client recap. If real-time prompts are what you want, Querious is built for that. If you want a complete, approved record of every client call on the matter, that is what Astrid is built for.

What Querious is

Querious, Inc. calls its product Legal Conversational Intelligence. It joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet meetings with a visible bot, offers a desktop app, and says it can be used on demand for phone calls and in-person conversations. After a conversation it drafts notes, summary emails and billing entries, and it lists integrations with Clio, 8am MyCase and Smokeball.

Its practice areas listed include business, employment, estate planning, real estate, healthcare compliance, intellectual property and general litigation. By default it keeps no audio and no full transcript, and it keeps generated outputs for 60 days.

When Querious is the better fit

  • You want legal issue spotting and suggested questions while you are still on the call.
  • You want no audio stored and no full transcript kept by default. (In practice a firm may prefer to keep them: a recording is the evidence if a client later disputes what was said, and with Astrid the firm chooses how long audio is kept.)
  • You want a SOC 2 Type II attestation in place today. (This matters if your clients or insurer require one. Otherwise a report is one input into your own vendor review, and Astrid's security page lists what is and is not in place.)
  • Your practice is among the areas it lists, such as business, employment, estate planning or real estate.

When Astrid is the better fit

  • Your calls are mostly by phone and you need a complete record of each one on the matter.
  • You want the note in your firm's own format, held for attorney approval, then filed to Clio, MyCase, CasePeer, Smokeball or Lawcus.
  • You want a written recap drafted for the client after each call.
  • You want the recording kept for playback next to the transcript and note.
  • Your practice includes areas its product page does not list, such as personal injury, family law or criminal defense.

Questions to ask any vendor

  • Can I see it capture a real phone call from my own phone system, not a recorded demo?
  • What happens to a note before it is filed to the matter or sent to anyone? Who has to approve it?
  • Which case management systems are live today, and what exactly gets filed to each?
  • How are recording notice and consent handled for a state that requires every party to agree?
  • Is my firm's content used to train any model, under what terms, and can that be switched off?
  • Are names replaced with placeholders in the notes by default, and can the file note carry the real client name?
