Delete your Astrid account
Last updated November 3, 2026
Astrid Legal is made by Astrid Labs, Inc. This page is for anyone with an Astrid account, whether you use it on the web, in the Astrid app for Android or iPhone, or in Astrid Desktop. Use it to ask us to delete your account and the data that belongs to it.
How to request deletion
- Fill in the form below with the email address on your Astrid account. You can also email jason@astrid.legal from that address instead.
- We reply to that address to confirm the request came from you. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
- We delete the data within 30 days of your confirmation and email you when it is done.
What we delete
- Your account: your name, email address, password and two-factor authentication settings.
- Every place you are signed in: web sessions and each phone or computer app signed in to your account.
- Connections you made: calendar, email, file storage and other services connected under your account, and the access we held to them.
- Your personal settings.
Recordings, transcripts and notes
Calls you record, and their transcripts and notes, are records of your law firm about its clients and matters. If you ask to delete your account only, they stay with your firm, and a firm administrator decides what happens to them.
A firm administrator can ask us to delete the firm's entire account. That deletes all of the firm's recordings, transcripts, notes, matters and members' accounts. We confirm the request with the administrator before deleting anything.
What we keep, and for how long
- Billing records, such as invoices and payments, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Encrypted database backups, which can hold deleted data for up to 7 days until they expire.
- The name of the person who approved each note, kept with that note for as long as your firm keeps it.
- Anything your firm has placed under a legal hold, until the hold is released.
Recordings still on your phone
A recording that has not finished uploading is stored only on your phone, and we cannot reach it. Uninstalling the Astrid app deletes it.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
