Record any call on your computer, with no bot in the meeting
Astrid Desktop runs on your Windows PC and records the call you are on, in Zoom, Teams, a browser or a softphone. Nobody else sees a notetaker join. When you hang up, the recording goes into Astrid and the note is drafted.
Why firms pick the desktop app
No bot in the meeting
The other side sees a normal call. Astrid records from your own computer.
You confirm before it records
Each recording starts with a prompt to confirm consent, and your firm's admin acknowledges the setup once.
Time from your desktop apps
With the billable hours add-on, time spent in Acrobat, Word and Excel becomes draft time entries too.
How firms use it
Calls on platforms a bot cannot join
Softphones, client portals and browser calls all have audio. The desktop app records them the same way.
Clients who do not want a bot
Some clients object to an extra participant. The desktop app captures the call without one.
Document work, timed
With billable hours on, Astrid notes the documents you had open and for how long, and drafts the entry for you to approve.
Answers to common questions
Where do I download it?
Sign in to Astrid and open Settings. The installer is there, signed, and it updates itself.
Is there a Mac version?
It is coming soon for Apple silicon Macs.
Does it record everything on my computer?
No. It records a call when you start a capture, and for billable hours it only tracks the applications on your firm's allowlist.
