Notes that read like your firm wrote them
Every call becomes a file note in your firm's format: an intake note for an intake, a status note for a check-in. Speakers are named, action items are split out, and an attorney approves the note before it is filed.
- Client wants to keep the current parenting schedule through the school year.
- Agreed to propose mediation before filing the motion.
- Client: send the last two years of tax returns
- Firm: draft the mediation proposal by Friday
What makes the notes usable
Templates per call type
Each call type gets its own template, set up with you during onboarding from the file notes you already write.
Speakers identified
Astrid names who said what, and keeps third parties such as opposing counsel or a witness distinct from your client.
Approved, then filed
Only an attorney seat can approve a note, and the record shows who approved it and when.
How firms use it
One standard across the firm
Firm admins lock the template structure, so every attorney's notes have the same sections in the same order.
Filed to your case management system
Approved notes go to Clio, Smokeball, Lawcus, 8am MyCase or 8am CasePeer, on the right matter.
Searchable years later
Find what was said by client, date or phrase, and export the note, transcript and recap together.
Answers to common questions
Do I have to write the templates?
No. We set them up with you during onboarding from the notes your firm already writes, one per call type. You can edit them any time.
Does Astrid pick the template?
Yes. It classifies each call by type for your practice area and uses that type's template.
Can staff approve notes?
Approval is limited to attorney seats. Staff can edit drafts.
