Time entries from your calls, measured and described
Astrid has the recording, so the time entry starts with facts: the call's real length, the matter it belongs to, and a description written from what was said. You check it and approve it.
Part of the billable hours add-on to the notetaker seat.
Telephone conference with client regarding discovery responses, deposition scheduling, and outstanding medical records.
What goes into the entry
Measured duration
The length comes from the recording, not from memory.
The right matter
The same matter matching that files the call's note, with a one-click fix when a call is ambiguous.
Written for the invoice
The description is drafted from the transcript in client-readable language, never from the privileged note.
Why calls first
Calls are the time most often lost
A quick call between other work rarely makes it onto a timesheet. Astrid captures it whether you remember or not.
Nothing to estimate
A call has a start and an end. The entry carries the real length.
Works with every capture source
Meeting notetaker, Zoom Phone, Dialpad, the dial-in, the desktop app and the iPhone app all produce entries.
Billable hours add-on
Or $590 per timekeeper per year, billed annually (2 months free). Added to the $40 notetaker seat.
Add it for the people who bill by the hour. Staff who do not bill do not pay for it.

Answers to common questions
What if a call covered two matters?
Edit the entry before approving it, or split the time with a manual entry.
Does approving the note approve the time?
No. Notes and time are approved separately, on their own pages.
