Summary: MyCase has no built-in AI notetaker or call recording. Four tools send notes from client conversations into a MyCase case: Astrid (an attorney-approved note linked to the recording and transcript), VXT (call summaries, recordings and a time entry from its phone system), VXT Meet (a transcript, summary and time entry from meetings, on Mac and iPhone) and Querious (approved notes and billing entries). AI timekeepers such as Billables AI, MIRA, Ajax and TimeSentry send time entries, not notes. MyCase integrations need its Pro or Advanced plan. Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, Jamie, LegalMate, Call Connector, Rev and Sonix are not in MyCase's integrations directory.
We make Astrid, so weigh our row accordingly. Every statement about another product comes from MyCase's integration pages or help center, or from that vendor's own documentation or pricing page, read on October 22, 2026. Features and prices change; confirm with the vendor before you buy.
Before you compare: two things MyCase decides
- Your plan. MyCase's pricing page lists integrations from the Pro plan up ($100 per user per month billed yearly, or $120 monthly), and its help center says VXT Meet is only available on Pro and Advanced. A firm on Basic gets no integrations.
- What partners can reach. VXT's MyCase support article is the most candid public account of what a partner can and cannot do: it says VXT cannot search your cases and lists those updated in the last 180 days, that calls cannot be saved to a case's call log, and that time entry notes are usually visible to clients, so VXT keeps sensitive detail out of them. Each vendor's access differs, so ask how each one finds the case and what it writes where.
The comparison
| Tool | What lands in MyCase | How the case is chosen | Review before it files | What it captures | Price per user per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Astrid | An attorney-approved note on the case, linked to the recording and transcript; with the billable hours add-on, time entries. Task filing is built but not live yet | Matched by phone number or client name; ambiguous calls wait for a one-click confirmation | Yes, an attorney approves the note | Zoom Phone and Dialpad calls, a dial-in bridge for any cell or landline, a bot in Zoom, Teams and Meet, a Windows desktop app, in person from a phone, uploads | $40 monthly, or $400 a year; add-on $59 |
| VXT | Call summaries, recordings and a time entry; notes as contact, case or time entry notes | You pick the case from recently updated cases | At the save step | VXT's own phone system | $60 monthly, plus $5 a month per number |
| VXT Meet | The full transcript, an AI summary and a time entry from the meeting's length | You save the meeting to the matching case | At the save step | Meetings on Mac and iPhone, with no bot; in person and on Meet, Zoom, Teams, Slack and Webex | $60 |
| Querious | Approved notes and billing entries; no recording or transcript is stored | You associate each conversation with a case by hand | Yes | A bot in Zoom, Teams and Meet, a desktop app; calls including Dialpad, by MyCase's page | $59.99 monthly, or $49.99 billed yearly |
| Billables AI | Approved time entries | Matched to client and case | Yes | Email, calendar, documents, browser and meetings | From $59 monthly, or $47 billed yearly |
| MIRA, Ajax, TimeSentry | Time entries you approve | Matched to the case | Yes | Email, calendar, documents; Ajax and TimeSentry also list calls | Varies; TimeSentry is $799 per seat per year |
Notes on each
Astrid. After a call, Astrid matches it to a MyCase case by the caller's phone number or the client's name, and drafts a note in your firm's own format. Once an attorney approves it, the note files to the case with a link back to the recording and transcript, and Astrid drafts a recap for the firm to send to the client. Filing follow-up tasks into MyCase is built and waiting on additional API access from MyCase; until then they stay on Astrid's Actions tab. With the billable hours add-on, approved time entries sync to MyCase, and their narratives are written to be client-readable because MyCase time entry descriptions can reach the client. See how the MyCase connection works.
VXT. A phone system. When you hang up, VXT saves the call summary, recording and a time entry to the case you choose. Its support article says calls cannot go into the case's call log because of the MyCase API, that only cases updated in the last 180 days appear in its picker, and that time entry notes carry only general information because clients may see them.
VXT Meet. A separate MyCase listing. It records meetings from a Mac or iPhone without a bot, then files the transcript, summary and a time entry based on the meeting's length. MyCase's help article lists Mac and iPhone; it does not mention Windows.
Querious. On MyCase, Querious sends approved notes and billing entries, unlike its Smokeball sync, which sends time only. MyCase's page says no recording or transcript is created or stored. MyCase's help article says you associate each conversation with a case by hand before syncing, although MyCase's marketing page describes the case as matching.
AI timekeepers. Billables AI, MIRA, Ajax, TimeSentry and Time Miner draft time entries from your email, calendar, documents or phone activity and push approved entries to MyCase. They do not write a record of what was said. If a firm runs one of these alongside a notetaker that also drafts time entries, decide which tool owns time for calls so a call is not billed twice. See our Billables AI comparison.
Answering services and lead tracking. Smith.ai, Ruby, LEX Reception, Clerx AI and CallRail sync call details or leads to MyCase. They handle calls your staff did not take, or marketing calls, rather than documenting an attorney's conversation.
Tools people ask about that are not in MyCase's directory
We found no MyCase integration listing for Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, Jamie, LegalMate, Call Connector, Dialpad, RingCentral, Rev or Sonix. PointOne's own site lists MyCase, but MyCase's directory does not. Some tools can be connected through Zapier.
What to ask in a demo
- Show me the record in a MyCase case after a call. Is it a note, a time entry or a document, and who is it attributed to?
- How do you find the case? Can you search all of our cases, or only recent ones?
- What goes into the time entry description, given that clients can see it?
- Does it create MyCase tasks for follow-ups?
- Which MyCase plan do we need?

Which MyCase plan do I need for a notetaker integration?
MyCase's pricing page lists integrations from the Pro plan up, and its help center says VXT Meet needs Pro or Advanced. Check with MyCase for your account.
